BDK Parfums Gris Charnel Extrait Sample

Gris Charnel Extrait takes the seductive character of BDK Parfums' hugely popular Gris Charnel and transforms it into something deeper, richer and considerably more intense.

Created by perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui, the Extrait increases the fragrance concentration to 30%, amplifying the woody and spicy facets of the original while retaining the distinctive character that made Gris Charnel so popular.

The opening combines the aromatic freshness of cardamom with black tea and fig, creating a beautifully textured blend of spice, fruit and slightly smoky tea. At its heart, iris absolute brings a smooth, powdery elegance alongside vetiver, adding an earthy, woody character.

As Gris Charnel Extrait develops, its darker side becomes increasingly apparent. Sandalwood and patchouli provide a rich woody foundation, while vanilla absolute and tonka bean introduce a creamy sweetness that softens the composition without turning it into a conventional gourmand.

The result is warm, spicy, creamy and sophisticated – recognisably Gris Charnel, but with greater depth, darkness and intensity.

Particularly impressive during autumn and winter, Gris Charnel Extrait is equally suited to evenings, date nights and occasions where you want something distinctive without being overpowering.
